6.4 Static Multicast Group Template
Use the static multicast filter to allow incoming frames based on multicast MAC address(es)
that you specify. This feature can be used in conjunction with IGMP snooping to allow
multicast MAC address(es) that are not learned by IGMP snooping. Use the static multicast
filter to pass routing protocols, such as RIP and OSPF.
Click Template > Multicast Template to display the screen as shown.
End Address Enter the ending multicast IP address for a range of IP addresses to which you
want this IGMP filter profile to allow access.
If you want to add a single multicast IP address, enter it in both the Start IP and
End IP fields.
Add Click Add to create a new IGMP filter.
Clear Click Clear to remove the selected IGMP filter template.
IGMP Filter
Parameters
Index This is the number of the IGMP filter profile. Double-click a profile’s index number
to edit the profile.
Start Address This field displays the starting multicast IP address for a range of multicast IP
addresses to which you want this IGMP filter profile to allow access.
End Address This field displays the ending multicast IP address for a range of IP addresses to
which you want this IGMP filter profile to allow access.
Close Click Close to close this screen.
