P (Pitch) Mode
The LS-7000 Series measures objects
based on the middle point between the
edges of the objects in this mode.
In this example as shown, five P-mode
edges exist, based on which the LS-7000
measures the center pitch of the target in
the measuring area.
Center pitch: The space between 2P and
4P

Edge 0
Edge 0 refers to a method of measure-
ment, in which the center of the optical
axis is used as an origin. In this case,
set the edge number to 0.
Use this method to position the objects or measure the movement or deviation of
objects.

In the edge 0 method, the E and
P modes will not make any difference.
Tips Use edge 0 method if higher repetitive accuracy is required from the measure-
