Collecting a Process DC Voltage Measurement
1. Attach the DC voltage input to the data collector and correct location.
2. From the Data Collection screen, press READ/OK to start your
measurement for the current point. The DC Volts Measurement screen
appears.
3. A bar display and ranging graphic appears on screen while the Enpac Ex
ranges the data. The Enpac Ex continually updates the magnitude value
for the measurement. The word "Alarm" appears on the screen
(upper-right side) if there is an alarm condition.
4. Once the reading is steady and the input signal is not overloading the
data collector, press READ/OK to accept the measured value.
Once the Enpac Ex stores the measurement, the Data Collection screen
displays the next point in the list (route).
WARNING
Do not attach the DC voltage input to the Enpac Ex unless
the area is known to be nonhazardous.
IMPORTANT
You do not need to press READ/OK if you set Auto
Store to "On" in the Instrument Configuration screen. The
Enpac Ex automatically ranges and collects the
measurement. See Instrument Configuration Parameters
on page 107.
TIP
The green LED illuminates when the measurement is
complete. See LED Indicators on page 12.
