t
he Data Collector before Loading
If data already exists in the data collector but you do not need it anymore, you
can erase the data by initializing the data collector’s memory using Emonitor.
Make sure that you no longer need the data before deleting it.
Before you initialize the Enpac Ex memory, make sure Emonitor and the data
collector are properly connected and you are in a nonhazardous area. If not,
see Connecting the Data Collector and Computer on page 66.
There are two ways you can initialize the Enpac Ex using Emonitor, either
automatically before loading a list, or manually at any time. You can also use
the Enpac Ex to initialize memory. Refer to Instrument Configuration
Parameters on page 107 for details on how to initialize memory using the
Enpac Ex.
To automatically initialize the data collector before loading a list
1. Select Tools > Load/Unload.
2. Click the Load Options button in the Load/Unload dialog box. The
Load Options dialog box appears
.
3. Select the Initialize data collector before loading check box.
4. Click OK.
IMPORTANT
Initializing the data collector memory erases the existing
data. Be sure that you no longer need the data before
deleting it.
