Enpac Ex Parameters 111
Trig Level
Sets the trigger level. Applies only to triggered
measurements (RPM points, phase points,
time-synchronous averaged points).
• Automatic - The Enpac Ex samples the trigger
signal before collecting the triggered
measurement and sets an appropriate trigger level
automatically. When collecting data on a triggered
point, a message displays on the screen while the
trigger level is being sampled.
The length of time for which the trigger is sampled
during autotriggering is dependent on two factors.
1. The high pass filter selected for the point. The
lower the high pass filter cutoff, the longer the
trigger will be sampled.
2. The Mach. Speed setting. If the Mach. Speed
is set to "Normal," the maximum trigger
sampling time is about one second. If the
Mach. Speed is set to "Slow," the maximum
trigger sampling time is about 10 seconds. The
Normal setting will support autotriggering on
machines running at speeds down to ~120 RPM.
The Slow setting will support autotriggering on
machines running at speeds down to ~6 RPM,
depending on the width of the trigger pulse.
• Fixed - The Enpac Ex uses the signal level entered
in the point setup information (either route or off
route) as the trigger point. You must also configure
the Trig Hyst and Trig Pull Up parameters.
Options: Automatic
Fixed (default)
Trig Hyst
The amount of hysteresis around the trigger level.
The signal level must be at least twice the value of
the hysteresis value for successful triggering.
Options: 0.25
0.5
1.25 (default)
2.5
Note: This parameter is not used
when Trig Level set to "Automatic."
Trig Pull Up
Enable/disables external tachometer with an open
collector output (for example, Compact A2109).
Options: Off (default)
On
Important: Recommended practice is
to disable trigger pull up (Trig Pull Up
set to "Off").
Note: This parameter is not used
when Trig Level set to "Automatic."
