General Maintenance
The fuses and relays in this vehicle protect the electrical system. The fuses
most often blow if there is a short or grounded wire in the applicable circuit.
The fuses will have to be replaced if they blow. If fuses continually blow,
check the system for shorts, grounds or defective electrical components.
IMPORTANT! Be sure to shut off the engine and disconnect the negative
battery cable before using an ohmmeter to check the resistance of the
electrical system.
The fuses and relays are mounted under the lower left side of the operators
dash panel (Figure 96). To gain access, remove the three screws that
secure the lower dash panel in place.

NOTE: There are three different Fuse & Relay configurations depending on
the serial number of your vehicle. Early production vehicles (S/N 8249 and
Before) are shown on page 143 (Figure 97). Mid production vehicles (S/N
8250 thru 9398) are shown on page 144 (Figure 98) and current production
vehicles (S/N 9399 and After) are shown on page 145 (Figure 99).
