C. Replacing Tires
The specified size and ply rating (star rating for radial tires) for this vehicle is
13.00 - 24, 12 PLY. Make sure the replacement tire is of the same size and
ply rating (star rating for radial tires) as all the other tires. Higher ply (star for
radial) rated tires can be used on this vehicle, but only when all four tires
have the same ply rating.
The battery in this vehicle is a maintenance free type battery. It is shipped in
the vehicle filled with electrolyte and charged. A warning indicator light will
become illuminated on the operatrs display panel when the alternator is no
longer able to charge the battery. To service the battery:
1. Level the vehicle, ground the carriage, place the travel select lever
in (N) NEUTRAL, engage the parking brake switch and shut off the
engine.
WARNING
Mis-matched tire sizes may compromise vehicle stability and may result
in vehicle tipover.

WARNING
Lead-acid batteries produce flammable and potentially explosive gases.
To avoid personal injury when checking, testing or charging batteries:
• DO NOT use smoking materials near batteries.
• Keep arcs, sparks and open flames away from batteries.
• Provide ventilation and wear safety glasses.
