4. Add SAE 80W90 or 80W140 Oil as required through the oil level

hole or oil fill hole. Bring the oil level up and even with the oil level
plug hole.

5. Clean and re-install the oil level plug and oil fill plug if removed.

B. Transfer Case Oil Change

(1000 Hour Intervals)

1. Level the vehicle, ground the carriage, place the travel select lever

in (N) NEUTRAL, engage the parking brake switch and shut off the
engine.

2. Clean the area around the transfer case oil level plug, oil drain plug

and the oil fill plug (Figure 93).

3. Place a receptacle under the transfer case drain plug.

4. Remove the drain plug from the transfer case.

5. Allow the oil to drain completely into the receptacle. Transfer the oil

into a container with a cover and label as used oil. Dispose of prop-
erly.

6. Clean and re-install the transfer case drain plug.

7. Remove the oil fill plug and oil level plug.

8. Fill the transfer case with SAE 80W90 or 80W140 Oil. Use the oil fill

hole. Fill until the level is up and even with the oil level plug hole.
The transfer case capacity is 1.5 quarts (1,4 liters).

9. Clean and re-install the oil level plug and the oil fill plug.
