To create an IP route for a failover crossport on a Brocade FX8-24:
1.
Configure the iproute for the local XGE port (xge0).
switch:admin> portcfg iproute 8/xge0 create 2.2.2.0 \
netmask 255.255.255.0 192.168.11.250
Operation Succeeded

Configure the interface for the nonlocal XGE port (xge1).
switch:admin> portcfg ipif 8/xge1 create 1.1.1.0 \
netmask 255.255.255.0 192.168.11.250 -x
Operation Succeeded

The IP route will be available for circuits on VE ports 22-31. The output from portshow iproute for
the same route shows the crossport tag.
switch:admin> portshow iproute 8/xge0
