The Admin Domain and Virtual Fabric restrictions for Fabric OS commands table in the Appendix A,
“Command Availability,” has been updated. The table lists the Admin domain, Context, and Switch
type for the commands.
New commands
The following commands and associated man pages have been added since the publication of the
Fabric OS v7.2.1 release of this manual:
• ethIf - Sets the link operating mode for a network interface.
• extnCfg - Sets the extension mode configuration.
• femDump - Collects limited debug information to a remote directory through FTP or SCP.
• firmwareSync - Synchronizes the firmware from the active control processor (CP) to the standby
CP.
• haRedundancy - Displays switch uptime.
• portCfgFlogiLogout - Enables the Base Device Logout functionality on the port.
• portCfgGE - Manages the port configuration of the GbE/10GbE ports.
• portCfgNonDfe - Enables or disables non-Decision Feedback Equalization (DFE) mode on 8
Gbps Fibre Channel links.
• portCfgPersistence - Sets or removes the persistent disable flag on a port or a range of ports.
• portPeerBeacon - Sets the port peer beaconing to physically identify the interconnections
between ports.
• supportInfoClear - Clears all the default port statistic counters and portlogs in a chassis or
switch.
Modified commands
The following commands and associated man pages have been corrected or updated with
additional information:
• aptPolicy - Removed ap_policy information, as the option is no more supported.
• authUtil - Included the support for SHA 256.
• bladeDisable - Included a note to indicate the command is allowed during slotpoweron
operation on an AP blade but the command does not work.
• bladeDisable - Included a note to indicate the command cannot enable the ports for the given
blade in disabled logical switch.
• bottleneckMon - Removed --cfgcredittools, --showcredittools, --linkreset options.
• chassisBeacon - Included that portpeerbeacon is exclusive of this command.
• configDefault - Included a note to indicate that resetting default FCR configuration data
requires base switch to be configured in the chassis. Added -force option.
• configure - Included new configuration options like FDMI hostname, HIF mode, D_port
parameters.
• configureChassis - Included the new auto firmware sync entry.
• dlsReset - Included the E_Port Balancing Priority feature updates.
• dlsSet - Included the E_Port Balancing Priority feature updates.
