TNC 640 | User's Manual Cycle Programming | 1/2015
Please note while programming:
The TNC automatically calculates the starting point
for finishing. The starting point depends on the
available space in the pocket.
The approaching radius for pre-positioning to the final
depth is permanently defined and independent of the
plunging angle of the tool.
Danger of collision!
After executing an SL cycle you must program the
first traverse motion in the working plane with both
coordinate data, e.g.
L X+80 Y+0 R0 FMAX.
At the end of the cycle, move the tool in
the plane to an absolute position, not to an
incremental position, if you have set the parameter
ConfigDatum, CfgGeoCycle, posAfterContPocket to
ToolAxClearanceHeight.
Cycle parameters
Feed rate for plunging Q11: Traversing speed of
the tool when plunging into the workpiece in mm/
min. Input range 0 to 99999.9999 alternatively
FAUTO, FU, FZ
Feed rate for milling Q12: Traversing speed of
the tool in the working plane. Input range 0 to
99999.9999, alternatively
FAUTO, FU, FZ
Retraction feed rate Q208: Traversing speed of
the tool in mm/min when retracting after machining.
If you enter Q208 = 0, the TNC retracts the tool at
the feed rate in Q12. Input range 0 to 99999.9999,
alternatively
FMAX,FAUTO
