Example master hosts file entries for two SANs
To modify the FSM master hosts file:
1. On the FSM, make a copy of the master hosts and name it hosts.bak. The hosts file
is located at c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.
This copy can be used to recover the original file if there is a problem.
2. Open the hosts file at c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts using Notepad or some
other text editor.
3. Use the following steps to type the entry for the UIM-SAN-GEIP network interface
connected to the control LAN.
a. On a single line, enter the IP address for the network interface connected to the
control LAN.
b. Insert a few spaces, then type the UIM-SAN-GEIP host name followed by the
_UIM1 suffix.
For example:
192.168.100.157
SAN1_UIM1
c. Insert a few more spaces, then type all Profile platform host names assigned to
this UIM-SAN-GEIP. Use the Profile host name followed by the _UIM suffix.
