Configure CVFS Client software on the UIM-SAN-FCIP
• Select Allow Diskless Mount . This setting is required on both redundant FSM and
single FSM systems.
• Select Fast Failover Detection . This setting takes effect only on redundant FSM
systems. For consistency, you should select it on single FSM systems as well, as it
has no adverse effect.
• Select Delay Atime Updates . This setting improves the ability of transfer streams to
continue during an automatic system recovery event.
Leave the rest of at their default settings.
8. Click OK and Yes to save settings and close the application.
9. When prompted, re-start the UIM-SAN-FCIP.
10. Continue with the next procedure “Perform miscellaneous system settings” .
