Installing the disk image on a replacement UIM
11. If C Drive cannot be selected, go back to the Restored Partitions Resizing page and
select Yes, I want to resize partitions .
The Restored Partition Type page opens.
12. Select Active and then click Next .
The Restored Partition Size page opens.
13. Do not make any selections. Click Next .
The Next Selection page opens.
14. Select Yes, I want to restore another partition or hard disk drive and then click Next .
The Partition or Disk to Restore page opens.
15. Note that C Drive has a green checkmark. Select D Drive and then click Next .
The Restored Partition Resizing page opens.
16. Select No, I do not want to resize partitions and then click Next .
The Restored Partition Location page opens.
17. Select Unallocated and then click Next .
If Unallocated cannot be selected, go back to the Restored Partitions Resizing page
and select Yes, I want to resize partitions .
The Restored Partition Type page opens.
18. Select Primary and then click Next .
The Restored Partition Size page opens.
19. Do not make any selections. Click Next .
The Next Selection page opens.
20. Select No, I do not and then click Next .
The Restore Operation option page opens.
21. Do not make any selections. Click Next .
The Verify Procedure page opens.
22. Verify that you are restoring partitions. Click Proceed .
A page opens and displays progress.
23. Insert CDs as prompted. As messages appear asking for disks, insert CDs
sequentially and click Retry .
24. When a “The data was successfully restored” message appears, click OK .
25. Exit the Acronis True Image program and restart.
26. Click File | Operations | Exit .
The machine restarts automatically.
27. Remove the CD from the CD drive while the machine is shutting down.
Part 3: Enter Windows software license number
Use this procedure to enter the software license number required for the Windows
operating system for your UIM.
1. Wait for Windows to boot.
