Sets the backup unit for Non-Revertive Backup Mode. The switch parameter table
will be updated immediately.

Sets the backup unit for Revertive Backup Mode. The switch parameter table will be
updated immediately.

RETURN Pressed to return to the Backup Mode Configuration Screen.

Numeric Keypad ---

Press or to abort programming (no switch parameters changed).
Returns to the Backup Mode Configuration Screen.

4.3.1.9 MODEM SWITCHING STYLE

This screen allows the user to perform:

Linked Switching (U) - switching the modulator and demodulator together.

Independent Switching (M) - switching the modulator and demodulator separately.

When a prime channel is programmed for Linked Switching, both the modulator and the demodulator will
be switched to a backup channel if either the modulator or the demodulator fail. When a prime channel is
programmed for Independent Switching, only the modulator will be backed up if the modulator fails, and
only the demodulator will be backed up if the demodulator fails.
