Configuration
B.1 Overview
This appendix describes the cabling configurations between the RCS20 and its various companion
products. The figures provided in this appendix illustrate the proper placement of the cables.
WARNINGS
1. If either AC line cord is connected to the RCS20, dangerous AC voltages are present
within the Switch and the cooling fan is operational.
2. Do not remove the top cover of the Switch unless replacement of one of the power
supplies is necessary. Follow the instructions in Chapter 4.
3. DC voltage is present on the back plane. Take care when Installing or removing a plug-
in module. AC power is not present on the back plane.
4. The IFS20 and DDS20 receive DC power through the RCS20 interconnection cable. To
make sure that no DC power is present in the back plane modules, remove both of the
Switch's AC line cords or the RCS20 interconnection cable.
