RESOLUTION 4:
WINDOWS UPDATES are another good place to look. Make sure you have all the
current updates (For Windows 98, you do not need the language updates).

RESOLUTION 5:
Verify that DMA (Direct Memory Access) is enabled on the Primary and Secondary
IDE Controllers (Windows XP Only):
1. Right click My Computer and choose Properties.
2. Click the Hardware tab located at the top of the screen.
3. Click Device Manager in the center area of the screen.
4. Click the plus sign (+) next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers to expand that
section.
