Standardization of existing qualification libraries
Vision provides a function to flag an existing non-standardized library as standardized. In order to
change the library standardization status:
•
Master standardize all spectra used in the library.
•
Enter the qualitative sample selection mode.
•
Select the library and click on Edit/Standardize library.
•
Choose Master Standardization from the window that opens and click on OK.
Note: Library validation results, the identification method, and all qualification methods will be
deleted after the library is standardized and have to be recreated. Sample selection results remain
unchanged.
9.4
Moving data and methods between Master and Host
instruments
The master instrument is not standardized by definition, as all Host systems are standardized to the
master. Therefore an equation or library created on a master instrument should not be standardized.
After equation or library transfer to a Host instrument the “Standardized” attribute has to be turned
on.
On the other hand, spectra collected on a Host instrument will be standardized. When these spectra
are moved to the Master to update a method, their standardization flags have to be turned off to
make them compatible with spectra existing on the Master system.
Vision provides a mechanism to change standardization flags when moving data or methods
between Master and Host. This mechanism allows to back up a project with a special flag. In project
restore, the standardization flags are changed.
9.4.1
Moving a method from the Master to the Host system
To move a method from the Master to the Host system:
•
Enter Data Acquisition mode.
•
Click on Master/Backup Project as Master.
•
Follow the standard steps for project backup. When asked to backup linked projects and
libraries, click on Yes.
•
Restore the project on the Host system.
•
The above operation will cause the following:
•
All calibrations existing in the project will restore as master standardized.
•
All libraries linked to the project through Operation Methods will restore as master
standardized.
