Gating Test Mode
The following procedure explains how to enter gating test mode.
This feature will simulate drive operation by applying gate signals to
the SCRs and SGCTs while isolated from medium voltage. Prior to
starting the drive for the first time, a gating test should be performed
to ensure that each device is functional.
Some drive status I/O will be active while performing tests in Gating
Test Mode (Test Mode 1). If the drive I/O is monitored remotely,
process control should be notified in advance to avoid confusion.
A T T E N T I O N A T T E N T I O N Ensure that the drive is isolated from medium
voltage prior to starting this test.
From the main screen, press the
ACCESS [F10[ key and use the down
arrow until you highlight
ADVANCED. Press Enter and then
EXIT [F10].
Now press SETUP [F8] to get to
Parameters, and then Enter. You
should be on Feature Select, the first
group.
