2. Open Valves V1, V2, V3, V4, V5, V6, V7, V8, V9 (if provided),
V10, V11, and V12.
3. Fill system with the small pump. Ensure that the pump is always
running with liquid; otherwise the pump may overheat. Fill the
system until the reservoir is approximately ¾ full.
4. Close Valve V1. Also close V6 and V7 as these keep the coolant
from being slowly back-fed through the drain/fill pump.
5. Initially run the pumps by manually pushing and holding the
pump control relays. The pumps may cavitate slightly as they
force air out of the system through the reservoir, causing the
drive logic to fault on pressure loss – Disregard the fault message.
Alternate the pumps in one minute intervals, watching the reservoir
and filter housings to see that the air is moving out of the system.
THROUGHOUT THE FILL PROCESS, CONTINUALLY
OBSERVE ALL CONNECTIONS WITHIN THE DRIVE TO
ENSURE THAT THERE ARE NO LEAKS.
6. If the reservoir level begins to drop near the Low Level Trip
Point, go back to step 2 and add more coolant. You may need to
do this several times as all the air from the drive and heat
exchanger is removed.
