Brief description
Detailed
information
1.
Activate controller inhibit.
l
Press the
l
X6/SI1 orX6/SI2 must be open (LOW).
l
Control bit 9 = 1
2.
Set homing parameters.
Set the following codes in the GDC parameter menu under
Motion
W Homing:
l
C3010 (homing mode)
l
C3011 (zero position offset with drive traversing)
l
C3012 (zero position offset without drive traversing)
l
C0935 (traversing speed of homing)
l
C0936 (deceleration time (T
i
) of homing)

3.
Save parameters in the
controller.
Set C0003 = 1.
4.
C Select "Homing Mode".
The "homing" mode is automatically selected by the
higher−level control (PLC): C5000 = 6
The operating mode can also be set manually in the GDC
parameter menu under Motion
W Operating mode.

D Confirm setting of
"Homing Mode".
In order that the drive performs homing, the ECSxM axis
module must write the value from C5000 into C5001 (here
C5001 = 6).
If this is not the case, set the operating mode manually in the
GDC parameter menu under Motion
W Operating mode.
5.
Enable controllers.
The controller can only be enabled by a higher−level control
(PLC).
l
Green LED is lit continuously if X6/SI1 = HIGH,
X6/SI2 = HIGH, and the controller has been enabled via
the PLC.
l
Green LED is blinking if X6/SI1 = HIGH and X6/SI2 = HIGH.
No enable via PLC.

6.
Start homing.
The master control (PLC) set the control word bit
Ctrl1.Bit12 = 1 (TRUE).
Notes:
l
In order to interrupt homing, reset the Ctrl1.Bit12 to "0"
using the master control.
l
Homing can also be started via the parameter setting and
operating program GDC or the keypad XT if the control
interface is switched over to codes (C4010).
