5. Replace the connecting part on the housing of the plug/
socket. Pull the cable back so that there are no loops inĆ
side the housing.

3.1.2 Configuration of the CPX bus node
The characteristics of the CPX terminal can be adapted to
various requirements.
Settings on the CPX bus
node CPX terminals can be coupled to various fieldbuses.
Coupling is made via a CPX bus node that is adapted to
suit the relevant fieldbus. The following settings can be
made, depending on the CPX node used:
ć The fieldbus configuration (e.g. fieldbus address)
ć Error characteristics of the CPX terminal
ć Diagnostic behaviour of the CPX terminal
Depending on the CPX bus node used, important, application−
specific settings can be made, if applicable, with DIL switches
on the CPX bus node. The DIL switches are behind an easily
accessible cover on the CPX bus node.

bus node.
