1.2 Commissioning, diagnosis and operational functions
The system reaction of the CPX terminal can be adapted to
the relevant application. For this purpose, the CPX terminal
provides extensive functions for commissioning, diagnosis
and operation.
Commissioning and operational functions
The reaction of the CPX terminal can be adapted to individual
requirements by parameterising. The following reactions of
the CPX terminal can be influenced, for example, by accessing
the internal parameters:
ć The reaction of the outputs and valves to fieldbus comĆ
munication faults (fail−safe settings)
ć The reaction to fault elimination
ć The debounce times for digital input signals
ć The signal extension for digital input signals
ć The force settings (force signal status)
ć The operating method of the diagnostic memory
The CPX terminal is supplied from the factory with preset
parameters.
Caution
A different parametrisation will result in different characteĆ
ristics. Check especially when replacing CPX terminals to
see which settings are necessary and make sure that these
are restored (e.g. in the start−up phase by the higher−order
PLC/IPC).
