System Information during Failover for 1-to-N Remote-Copy Configurations
Synchronous Mode for 1-to-N Configurations
When a failure occurs on systems with synchronous mode volume groups such that all links between
the systems are broken, the following actions occur:
•
After 15 seconds, the system marks the sending links as Down.
•
After another 15 seconds, the system marks the targets as failed.
Asynchronous Periodic Mode for 1-to-N Configurations
When a failure occurs on systems with asynchronous periodic mode volume groups such that all
links between the systems are broken, the following actions occur:
•
After 25 seconds, the system marks the sending links as Down.
•
After another 200 seconds, the system marks the targets as failed.
Example Output after Primary System Failure for 1-to-N Configurations
If the primary system (System1) contains asynchronous periodic mode volume groups and becomes
unavailable, then 300 seconds later, the showrcopy output on one of the backup systems (System2)
looks like the following:
# showrcopy
