Withstanding Voltage Test
Do not perform this test with NDIS terminals.
Attach the MX110, MW100, or equivalent to the 4-CH Strain Input Module before
performing this test.
Wire the instrument in the same manner as the insulation resistance test, then confirm
that the results satisfy the criteria below.
Measured Item
Criteria
Input terminal to earth terminal on the
MX100, MW100, or equivalent
Current leakage of 1 mA or less at 2.3 kVrms AC
for 1 minute
Between input terminals
Current leakage of 1 mA or less at 30 Vrms AC for
1 minute
Input terminal to earth terminal on the MX100, MW100, or equivalent
Short terminals A, B, C, and D on channels 1 through 4, then measure the insulation
resistance between the functional ground terminals of the MX100, MW100, or equivalent.
Between input terminals
Short terminals A, B, C, and D on channels 1 and 3, then measure the insulation
resistance between those channels and channels 2 and 4 with their A, B, C, and D
terminals shorted.
In order to ensure continuity from the MX100, MW100, or equivalent’s earth to the heat
sink of the module under test, you must fasten the module with screws after installing it
onto the MX150 base plate.
2.7.3
Excessive Input Test
Connect the H and L terminals individually on all channels.
Apply an excessive input according to the conditions below, and confirm that no
abnormalities occur.

Note
• This test can be performed during warmup.
• For this test, abnormalities refers to excessive current or emissions of light or smoke.
