The Stand-by mode is accessed through the Analyze mode. When STDBY is
pressed while in the Analyze mode, all pneumatic valves are closed except for
the sample/span vent valve. During the 2-minute waiting period, the pressure
between the mass flow controller and the sample inlet valve PV1 is released, and
the sample/span valves are then closed.

Normal Shutdown

To turn the analyzer off, enter the Stand-by mode from the Analyze mode and
wait for 2 minutes. The analyzer will close all valves once the pressure between
the mass flow controller and PV1 has been released. Turn the power switch to
the OFF position. DO NOT turn the analyzer power off until ALL the valve
status indicator lights on the front panel are red, with the exception of PV9,
which remains green if the electrolyte level in the sensor is below a certain level.

1. From the Analyze mode main menu,

press the

STDBY

key.

2. The pressure between the mass flow

controller and PV1 releases after 2
minutes.

3. For normal shutdown, turn the power

switch

OFF

. Otherwise, perform what-

ever changes you wish. Press

to

restart the system.

4. Make changes in the background gas

selection if required, and press

for the initial start-up menu.
