INSTALLATION GUIDE
Shipping damage due to inadequate or inappropriate packaging is your
responsibility. Make sure you insure the shipment. Also, see Chapter 1 about
Return Shipping Charges.
Return Packaging
Should it become necessary to return the Tank Sentinel system to INCON for
service, please use the original packaging materials when possible. If the original
packaging is unavailable, replacement packaging can be obtained from INCON for
a nominal charge.
Alarm & Error Messages
Error Messages and Alarm reports are produced at the console to indicate the
source and type of problem that occurred. This section presents a partial list of
Error Messages that may be displayed after an installation.
The displayed Error Messages are shown in bold text above the PRINTED
ALARM REPORT TEXT (shown in UPPER-CASE text). A more complete list of
alarms and error messages is contained in the programming / service
troubleshooting Guide.
System Fail
SYSTEM FAIL Alarms indicate that some specific error has occurred in the Tank
Sentinel system. The reason or cause of the alarm is shown after this message.
CPU Crash
CPU CRASH The computer chip or central processing unit (CPU) within the
console had a severe problem develop for unknown reasons.
Probable cause – generally an indication that there is a significant problem with
the hardware or software. A “CPU fault” may also happen when severe power
quality problems occur.
Watchdog Timeout
WD TIMEOUT Alarm indicates a temporary software failure or power quality
problem.

Float Missing
FLOAT MISSING The system is receiving no response from the probe.
