Colibri One Pulse Relay Action
Overview
This document gives information about the One Pulse Relay Action enhancement in the Colibri rules engine. (Colibri
Console Software 1.6.3) See Technical Bulletin TB0112-3 for more information on the 1.6.3 release.
Description
The Colibri Console Software Release 1.6.3 now contains an enhanced relay programming feature within the
Rules Engine. This “One Pulse” feature allows for greater overall flexibility in the operation and control of the
programmable relays, allowing each relay to be “pulsed” once (activated / deactivated) for up to five seconds. This
“One Pulse” feature should be used when programming a Colibri for overfill alarms when using the TS-RK Remote
Acknowledgment Switch.
The previous method for programming a Rule to control a relay connected to a TS-RK was to set one Action to
activate the relay followed by a second Action to deactivate it. The increased processor speed of the Colibri required
a new option for proper operation. The “One Pulse” feature accomplishes this, and also eliminates the need for
a second Action in the High level Overfill rule. The “One Pulse” feature is now the recommended method for all
consoles using this application.
Rule Setup Example-One Pulse Action Programming (necessary on all Colibri monitors and TS-550 Evo,
recommended for all T5 Series models using TS-RK with overfill alarms)
All new Colibri installs should use the programming method as shown.
• Existing Colibri installations, interfaced with a TS-RK, should be upgraded to the 1.6.3 software and
reprogrammed using the One Pulse feature.
