Reference travel after
POWER ON
Only for incremental path measuring systems:
After the SPC11 operating voltage is switched on again, the
relationship between measurement variable and current
position is lost. For that reason, you must always carry out
reference travel after switching on again. Reference travel
can take place either in the end position P.01 or the end
position P.02.
Starting reference travel
Reference travel is started after POWER ON through a
positioning task to P.01 or P.02.
Other positioning tasks are not permitted after POWER ON
and result in the error E18 “reference travel”.
Process of reference
travel
If the drive is already in the desired end position when refer-
ence travel is started:
A movement toward the end position is impossible. To check
whether compressed air supply is lacking or the drive is
already in the end position, pressure is added briefly in the
opposite direction.
Please note
Here the drive carries out a short compensating movement
in the opposite direction.
If the drive is not yet in the desired end position when refer-
ence travel is started:
The drive moves slowly toward the end position.
During the reference travel, the message “rEF” is displayed.
Reference travel is concluded when the moveable mass is
pressed against the corresponding end position (P.01 or P.02)
and the assigned output (O1 or O2) supplies a 1-signal.
