Function Code 40 – OR (4 input)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The 4-input OR function code is used to perform the logical OR function. The output is
logic 1 when one or more inputs equal logic 1. When no inputs equal logic 1, the output
is logic 0.
UTILIZATION
The MOD 30ML/MODCELL compound FC40 uses an EX block with 4 inputs. S1 thru
S4 are the inputs for the logical OR function.

S1 FC40 Input – S1 Boolean
(Discrete) Connect to the FC40.S1 signal of the
compound. Input S1 to the OR function.
S2 FC40 Input – S2 Boolean
(Discrete) Connect to the FC40.S2 signal of the
compound. Input S2 to the OR function.
S3 FC40 Input – S3 Boolean
(Discrete) Connect to the FC40.S3 signal of the
compound. Input S3 to the OR function.
S4 FC40 Input – S4 Boolean
(Discrete) Connect to the FC40.S4 signal of the
compound. Input S4 to the OR function.

Boolean (Discrete) Connect from the FC40.N signal of the
compound. Result of the logic.
