If you do not want to assign user passwords, leave the password field
blank. A blank password is a valid password.
5. Select the Close button to close the form when you are finished.
6. You are returned to the Users form; the newly added user is found in
the User ID column:
7. The newly added user has a security level of “1” by default. To set the
user access level, select the new user ID in the User ID column (place
the cursor next to the newly created user); and assign an access level in
the Level field (enter a value between 1-9).
8. If you are using a CE batch portable, security is enabled at the Send
Data to CE Device form. For more information about using the CE
Batch application, please refer to
CE Batch Setup on page 181 .
9. Repeat steps 2-7 to continue adding new users.
10. After you are finished entering new users, click the Close button.
Editing the
User ID To edit the User ID refer to the instructions that follow.
1. Click Tools > Security > Users; the Users form appears:
