Executing All (Board) Tests

Select

All Tests

to execute all tests of the selected board which do not require user

interaction (that is, they are automatic). The results of the tests and the slot number
appear on the GDB960 window, as well on the Tests Results Panel of the Diagnostics
window. The system processor then appends the date and time and creates a log file
(named alltests.log).

The number of the slot tested is also recorded in the log file, to identify the board if
two or more boards of the same type are installed. Only the results of the most recent
test for that board type are saved, even though there may be two or more boards of the
same type in the Profile. When two boards of different types are tested, the system
retains the log files for both boards.

The system organizes log files into directories by slot number and slot directories
reside in the Logs directory. For example, at the completion of All Tests selection for
the MEDR board in Slot J10, the alltests.log file appears in the directory
c:\profile\diag\Logs\Slot_J10.

During execution of All Tests, the program dims out the Board Tests and Selection
Panel. When testing completes, the upper right panel returns to normal while the left
panel remains grayed out. If a board fails any test, replace that board.

Note that if testing of the ASPB indicates a problem with the PAC, check cables and
connectors, re-connect or replace as necessary. If problem persists, check the log for
previous ASPB errors and replace the ASPB or PAC as necessary.
