Disk Access
These green LEDs flash when the associated disk is being accessed. The following
describe various problems which could occur and what to do about them.
If an LED never flashes or never goes Off:
- The associated disk drive is bad. See Profile.log to confirm bad disk drive and
replace.
- LED board bad, replace.
If more than one of these LEDs never flashes or never goes Off:
- LED board bad, replace.
- The associated disk drives are bad. See Profile.log to confirm bad disk
drives and replace.
Refer to the ‘Diagnostics’, page 4-21, for discussion of Profile.log usage and SCSI
Errors.
System Fault
This red LED is not used at this time.
Fan Fault
This red LED is normally Off.
If On:
- One or more of the three internal fans defective. To determine which fan(s):
1. Turn Profile power Off.
2. Remove Profile from rack.
3. Remove both top covers.
4. Briefly turn power back On to see which fan is defective.
5. Refer to Removal and Replacement procedures to replace defective fan(s).
- LED board bad, replace.
Over Temp
This red LED is normally Off.
If On:
- Dirty air filter. See ‘Cleaning and Changing the Air Filter’ on page 5-3.
- Obstructed air flow at front or rear of the Profile. Remove obstruction.
Standby/On Switch
If the front panel switch is bad, you will be unable to turn power Off from the switch
and once turned Off (using the rear panel switch), you will be unable to turn power
back On.
