Executing Test All Boards
If a board problem cannot be isolated to one board (or as a confidence check after
repairs), select Test All Boards from the Tests menu on the Diagnostics window
menu bar. Note that this selection takes about 15 minutes to complete, depending on
your Profile board configuration. The execution process begins immediately.
Selection of Test All Boards (or any board diagnostic test), initializes the system as
follows:
• A DRSTART window opens to indicate that the diagnostic program is loading.
• At the completion of loading the diagnostics program, a GDB960 window takes the
place of the DRSTART window. This is the i960 information and report window.
See Figure 4-7 for an example.
Figure 4-7. GDB960 (i960) Window
Just as the configuration panel on the left varies with your configuration,
information and reporting in the GDB960 window varies with the test selected.
Typically this window initially shows test conditions used to execute the selected
test. While the information is being entered in this window, the panels of the
Diagnostics window are dimmed. When test conditions entries complete, the
program begins testing all installed EISA boards, one at a time.
