Analog Audio Problems
In addition to the descriptions below, ensure that audio crosspoints are correctly
assigned. For example SD1 to Bank 1 (channels 1-4), SD2 to other Bank 1 (channels
5-8), etc.
Symptom: All audio is missing.
1. Check cables from ASPB to the PAC208/216 and from the Expansion panel to the
PAC208/216, connect, tighten, or replace as necessary.
2. Check source cables.
3. Run ASPB diagnostics, replace ASPB as necessary.
4. Run diagnostics on other audio boards as appropriate, replace as necessary.
5. Replace the PAC208/216 chassis.
Symptom: Audio is missing one channel:
1. Check source cables to the PAC208/216 chassis, connect, tighten, or replace as
necessary.
2. Move source cables from good channels to bad channels. If fault follows the cable,
replace the cable; if fault remains at the channel;
a. If the bad channel is one of the analog channels 9-16, replace the PAC
Expansion panel. If fault persists, replace the Daughter Board in the
PAC208/216 chassis.
b. If the bad channel is one of the analog channels 1-8, replace the Main Board in
the PAC208/216 chassis.
3. Run ASPB diagnostics, replace ASPB as necessary.
4. Run diagnostics on other audio boards as appropriate, replace as necessary.
Symptom: Audio is intermittent.
1. Check cables from Expansion panel to the PAC208/216 and from the ASPB to the
PAC208/216 chassis.
2. Run ASPB diagnostics, replace as necessary.
3. Replace the PAC208/216 chassis.
Embedded Audio Problems
For problems with embedded audio:
1. Check cables, connect or replace as necessary.
2. Run ASPB board diagnostics, replace as necessary.
3. Run Serial I/O board diagnostics, replace as necessary.
