PAC208/216 Main Board
The Main Board attaches to stand-offs on the bottom panel of the chassis. The
Daughter Board, if any, and the power supply shield must be removed to remove the
Main Board.
To remove the Main Board:
1. Perform the cover removal procedure (page 6-49).
2. If present, remove the Daughter Board (page 6-58).
3. Disconnect the cables from the Main Board (1 in Figure 6-37).
4. Use the Torx tool with the T15 tip to remove the screws and the 11/32-inch nut driver
to remove the nuts which secure the shield to the chassis and lift the shield up and out
of the chassis (page 6-52).
5. Use the small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws from the rear panel (2 in
Figure 6-37).
6. Use the Torx tool with the T15 tip to remove the screws which secure the Main Board
to the stand-offs on the bottom of the chassis. Note that three of these screws also
attach Daughter Board stand-offs to the Main Board (3 in Figure 6-37).
7. Carefully disconnect the Main Board from the XLR Board connector and, being
careful of the rear panel connectors, slide the Main Board up and out of the chassis.
To replace the Main Board:
1. Being sure to clear rear panel connectors, carefully reconnect the Main Board to the
XLR Board connector, and align the board screw holes with the stand-offs on the
bottom of the chassis (Figure 6-37).
2. Use the Torx tool with the T15 tip to secure the Daughter Board stand-offs and the
Main Board to the stand-offs on the bottom of the chassis with the screws previously
removed.
3. Use the small Phillips screwdriver to attach the rear panel connector screws
previously removed.
4. Reconnect the cables to the Main Board.
5. If necessary, install the Daughter Board (page 6-58).
6. Perform the fan replacement procedure (page 6-52).
