Rear Panel Indicators and Control
LEDs on some of the boards in the PDR200 can provide information to aid in
troubleshooting the equipment. Your system may not have all the boards described
below. See ‘Diagnostics’, page 4-21, to run board diagnostics. Note that when the
LEDs depends on board initialization by the i960. Boards and their LEDs are:
System LAN - This board, usually in Slot J3, has two LEDs, one green and one
amber. The green LED lights when there is an active connection between the board
and Ethernet. The amber LED flashes when there is network activity.
If the green LED is Off when it should be On:
- Check the cable connection to Ethernet, reconnect or replace as necessary.
- Replace.
If the green LED is On, but the amber LED does not flash when it should:
- Check the cable connection to Ethernet, reconnect or replace as necessary.
- Replace.
Analog Composite VIDEO IN - The red LED on this board flashes On at power up
and should then go Off.
If LED does not flash or remains On:
- Check the Profile.log to ensure the system sees the board and replace board
if it doesn’t.
- Run board diagnostics.
Analog Composite VIDEO OUT - The red LED on this board flashes On at power
up and should then go Off.
If LED does not flash or remains On:
- Check the Profile.log to ensure the system sees the board and replace board
if it doesn’t.
- Run board diagnostics.
Analog Component VIDEO IN - The red LED on this board flashes On at power up
and should then go Off.
If LED does not flash or remains On:
- Check the Profile.log to ensure the system sees the board and replace board
if it doesn’t.
- Run board diagnostics.
FIBRE CHANNEL - The red LED on this board flashes On at power up and should
then go Off.
If LED does not flash or remains On:
- Check the Profile.log to ensure the system sees the board and replace board
if it doesn’t.
- Run board diagnostics.
