Clocking and Synchronization
The ASPB provides clocking and synchronization as follows:
• AES inputs may be individually clocked in groups of 4 with sample rates from 30
to 50KHz
• Any source can be locked to any video or linear time code via Audio Mapping and
Crosspoint control.
• Sample rate conversion, available on all AES inputs, provides uniform storage at
48KHz
• Output clocking is synchronous to any selected reference
• Embedded audio and video source is phase locked to system reference for
processing
• AES output phase can be locked to an external reference
API/Profile Protocol Extensions
The ASPB provides the following API/Profile protocol extensions:
• 16 virtual tracks may be freely allocated to allow many different configurations
beyond the traditional 4-track recorder/player
• 16 X 16 Mixing (static), including support for track bounce and voice-over
• Automatic click elimination with fade-in and fade-out at clip transitions
• Level setting (static) and Level metering (PPM ballistics with peak and hold)
• Sample-accurate editing
• Clock control with selectable clock input
• Scrubbing up to 3 times playout
VdrPanel Support
ASPB VdrPanel support consists of:
• Static mixing (track assignment/crosspoint)
• Professional metering and static level adjustment
• Automatic click elimination with fade-in and fade-out at clip transitions
• Scrubbing
