PAC208/216 Fan
The fan in the PAC208/216 mounts to the power supply shield.
To remove the fan:
1. Perform the cover removal procedure (page 6-49).
2. Disconnect the fan cable from the Main Board (Figure 6-32).
3. Use the Torx tool with the T15 tip to remove the screws and the 11/32-inch nutdriver
to remove the nuts which secure the power supply shield to the chassis (1 in
Figure 6-32).
4. Lift the shield carefully up and out of the chassis and place upside down on a flat level
surface (2 in Figure 6-32).
5. Use the Torx tool with the T15 tip to remove the screws which secure the fan to the
shield (3 in Figure 6-32).
To replace the fan:
1. Thread the fan mounting screws through the fan holes at each corner and, with the
Torx tool with the T15 tip attach the fan to the power supply shield (Figure 6-32).
2. Carefully position the shield in the chassis, aligning the studs and screw holes.
3. Use the Torx tool with the T15 tip and the 11/32-inch nutdriver to attach the shield to
the chassis with the screws and nuts previously removed.
4. Connect the fan cable to the Main Board.
5. Use the Torx tool with the T15 tip to attach the top cover with the screws previously
removed (page 6-49).
6. Replace the PAC208/216 in the rack.
7. Reconnect the power cord and turn PAC208/216 power On.
