LED EMI Board
The LED EMI Board mounts to a plate attached to the grill at the front of the chassis
in the Media Disk Drive area. Removal and replacement of the board does not require
removal of the chassis from the rack or removal of the rear cover. Removal and
replacement does require removal of the fan tray, media disk drives, and disk drive
tray.
To remove the LED EMI Board:
1. Remove the front panel bezel as shown in Figure 6-6, page 6-8.
2. Perform the Fan Tray removal procedure (page 6-18).
3. Perform the disk drive tray removal procedure (page 6-22).
4. Use the Torx tool with the T15 tip to remove the screws which attach the LED EMI
Board to the plate inside the front grill of the chassis (3 in Figure 6-15).
5. Disconnect the remaining cable from the LED EMI Board (1 in Figure 6-15.
To replace the LED EMI Board:
1. Reconnect the cable to the LED EMI Board (Figure 6-15).
2. Use the Torx tool with the T15 tip to attach the LED EMI Board to the plate inside
the front grill of the chassis with the screws previously removed.
3. Perform the Fan Tray reinstallation procedure (page 6-19).
4. Perform the disk drive tray reinstallation procedure (page 6-22).
5. Reinstall the front panel bezel (Figure 6-6, page 6-8).
