Initial Fault Isolation Checks

Before turning power Off, if possible save program material and configurations. Turn
power Off, wait a few seconds, and turn power back On. When power is applied to
the PDR200, LEDs on the front panel and on some of the boards (visible at the rear
panel) turn On briefly. These LEDs, along with observation of the system start-up
sequence, provide initial fault isolation at power On.

Note that if the Windows NT operating system is running and you can log into the
system processor:

• The EISA data bus is functional.

• The EISA address bus is functional.

• Most, if not all, of the EISA “handshake” lines on the Mother Board are functional.

System Interface Problems

System interface problems are those associated with the mouse, keyboard, monitor,
and any RS-422 controller devices connected to the Profile through the RS-422
Breakout Box. See Table 4-1.
