9.7 User Connectors

User Electrical and DeviceNet

On the back of the robot base, above the AIB/eAIB, the user electrical, IO Blox, and DeviceNet
connectors are fitted with removable plugs at the factory—see the following figure. If you use
any of these connectors, you must provide a seal (see following note) at the connection to
prevent moisture from entering the robot.

NOTE: The user electrical connector (DB-25) and the IO Blox connector (DB-9)
above the AIB/eAIB require a gel seal gasket to maintain an adequate seal. The
gaskets are supplied in the Accessory Kit (p/n 04860-000).

The user electrical and DeviceNet connectors on the outer link are accessible with the cover
removed. The following figure shows the locations of the internal connectors. See
Removing/Installing Outer Link Cover on page 128 for instructions on removing and re-
installing the outer link cover.
