Using the web browser to configure the
device
Click
Configuration
on the browser menu bar to display the configuration
window. There are two ways to configure the DVR: Local and Remote.
Local configuration
Local configuration lets you define communication and network parameters such
as protocol type, maximum file size, stream type and network transmission
settings. You can also specify the directory locations for saving recorded and
playback video, snapshots, and downloaded files.
Remote configuration
See Figure 31 below for an example of the Configuration window. See Table 16
on page 75 for an overview of the different browser menu functions. Please refer
to the specific sections on the OSD menu functions for more information on
configuring these functions.
Note:
The configuration settings defined remotely are different from those that
can be defined locally.
