Configuring the Adapter

Using BOOTP

By default, the adapter is configured to accept an IP address, subnet mask, and
gateway address from a BOOTP server. You can select from a variety of BOOTP
utilities.

The instructions below use the DHCP/BOOTP Utility (version 2.3 or greater),
a free stand-alone program from Rockwell Automation that incorporates the
functionality of standard DHCP/BOOTP utilities with a graphical interface. It
is available from

http://www.ab.com/networks/ethernet/bootp.html

Press Enter to select the current parameter
value and the numeric keys to enter a new
value.

Press Enter to write the new value to the
parameter and the parameter number will
be selected again.

While the parameter number is selected,
you may:

a. use the arrow keys to select

additional parameters you wish to
modify.

b. press Enter to go to the parameter

number you have input using the
keypad.

c. press Esc to return to the group

parameter list.
