E-3 Device Adjustment/Setting Functions
In this part, basic device communication setting is made and the device parameters are
adjusted and set.
There are three device parameter adjustment/setting functions: DTM Works, Parameter
Manager, and DD Menu.
E-3-1 Basic Device Communication Setting
 Tag/Address Assignment
This function assigns device tags and addresses for FOUNDATION fieldbus device.
Address setting of PROFIBUS device is performed in device DTM window. Refer to Part E-3-2,
explanation of Setting Device Station Address for PROFIBUS Devices.
Address of BRAIN device is always “0.”
 Startup
Select Segment Viewer – Select Device – Action to activate Tag/Address Assignment.

Enter the tag to change.
Select the address to be modified.
The selectable address range is as
shown below:
For HART5: 0 to 15
For HART6, 7: 0 to 63
For FOUNDATION fieldbus H1: 16
to 247
Addresses other than the local
address that have already been
displayed in Segment Viewer are
removed from the objects to be
selected.
These items are indicated only for FOUNDATION
fieldbus H1 devices. If Tag Clear is selected, Address
Clear is also automatically selected.
