 PROFIBUS Device
In the case of using a PROFIusb from Softing as a PROFIBUS communication card, direct
connection communication with the PROFIBUS device is supported.
A PROFIBUS device is displayed in Segment Viewer.
A list of PROFIBUS devices in the PROFIBUS network (*) is displayed.
* : Up to 127 devices (subject to the PROFIBUS specification).
Only PROFIBUS devices in the PROFIBUS DP network to which the PROFIusb is connected are
displayed.
The following shows the display items.
Item: Address, IDENT Number, Vendor, Model (Device Type), Device ID.

There is exception that Device Tag, Device Status and Device ID are not displayed due to
manufacturer’s device structure. In this case, it shows “Not Detected”.
Vendor may also show the Manufacture ID only.
 BRAIN Device
Only one device is displayed.
A BRAIN device icon, vendor (character string), tag, model (character string), and self-diagnostic
result are displayed.

Displays the status icon in red or green. It is
