 Details of Online Registration
1. Select the connected device in the Segment Viewer (Built-in Connection mode) and execute
Register Device Maintenance Info.
2. If there is no device that has the same ID as the already registered device maintenance
information, go to 3.
If there is, go to A.
3. User will be asked “Do you want to newly register the device? Or do you want to overwrite to
the existing device maintenance information?”
4. If new registration is selected, information from the connected device is obtained and the
device maintenance information is created to complete the process.
5. If overwrite registration is selected, candidates to be overwritten will be shown. The
available selection has an empty Device ID (yet to be set), and the Communication Type,
Manufacturer ID, Device Type, and Device Revision must all match.
6. The existing device maintenance information that was selected and the Device Tag and the
Address of the connected device will be compared. If it is not the same, a selection of which
one to adjust to is made.
If the user wants to adjust to the existing device maintenance information, then a process to
change the Device Tag and Address of the connected device is executed.
