Step 3
save / project nominal module list

alternative 1

Write the value 1 to the object 000 hex with an SDO command.
The object 000 hex is described in greater detail in chapter

Configuration and Function of the

Modules / Fieldbus Module CANopen.

alternative 2

First note or record the current settings of the rotary encoding switches (baud rate and address).

Carry out the following special setting on the rotary encoding switches:

+ left-hand rotary encoding switch (baud rate)

7

+ middle rotary encoding switch (address x10)

0

+ right-hand rotary encoding switch (address x1) 0

Carry out a voltage reset on the bus header, while the remaining modules have to stay connected
to the power supply.

The actual module list is now protected onto the nominal module list in the EEPROM.
If this procedure has been completed correctly, the flashing code 1-1immediately appears.

Otherwise the error 1-2 (error type 1, No. 2) is displayed. (See flashing code table in chapter

Configurati-

on and Function of the Modules / Fieldbus Module CANopen)

When the nominal module list has been successfully written, turn the rotary encoding switch back
to the original position.

Carry out a further voltage reset.

The baud rate and address settings are now read in again so that the CANopen module can communication
again via the bus.

Step 4
Voltage reset of the system

After the voltage reset, read out the nominal module list (object 002 hex) and check the contents.

The object 002 hex is described in greater detail in chapter

Configuration and Function of the Modules /

Fieldbus Module CANopen.

Step 5
boot up
On entering the PRE-OPERATIONAL state (after Power ON or Network Reset), the slave sends the boot-up
message with content 0 once.
In this state the BUS LED flashes green.

Example:

Identifier = 700 hex +set address (e. g.: 701 hex at Adr. 1)
Length = 1
Data = 00 xx xx xx xx xx xx xx hex

(xx: don’t care)

Identifier = 701 hex
Length = 1
Data = 00 hex
