Each RIO 8640 DI../DO. module is a new subscriber on the internal bus. In order to obtain the maxi-
mum number of outputs and inputs on a subscriber, either the RIO 8640 DI2/DO24 module must be
used, or the RIO 8640 DI8/DO8 modules must be used and filled with add-on modules.
