Clearing a printer jam (continued)
Indicator lamp 9
When indicator lamp 9 is lit, the paper jam occurred before the
xerographic area under the drum.
Procedure
1. Open the front door of the printer.
2. Rotate the latch-handle counterclockwise to open
the upper area of the printer.
3. Raise the upper area of the printer until the stopper
is latched.
Caution: When removing media, try not to
tear the media.
4. If the media is cut, remove the media jam and
continue to the next step.
If the media is not cut, go to the manual cut
procedure (page 53) and return to this procedure to
perform the next step.
